The Montgomery County Food Bank had an amazing idea to break the cycle of poverty in Montgomery County. They wanted to teach their partner agencies about the root causes of poverty, so that they could work together to address all aspects of poverty, not just food scarcity.

As part of this initiative, our team was tasked with creating an animated video that would educate MCFB partner agencies on the cycle of poverty and introduce this new program. I started by building the script around a presentation the food bank had already been using, and once approved, I began the research to create a design that would be approachable and sensitive to the deeply personal subject matter.

I decided on a softer color scheme that was based on MCFB's existing branding materials and website, and the final video supported the subject matter, message, and audience the client wanted to reach. It was well received by everyone involved, and I'm happy to share some of the storyboards and images from the design process with you.
